Community
"Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much." --Helen Keller
This journey would not be possible without the many invaluable relationships with individuals, families, homesteads, farms and local businesses.

The SOL Homestead is only one piece of a much larger community. While we cannot, and do not, aspire to provide everything to our customers; we hope that through these relationships we can connect our customers with the desired resources.

All of these members of our local community connect with our homestead in one way or another.
Stonewall Acres
Stonewall Acres is a small farm in Traverse City, MI owned by Heather and Pamela Greenwald. We are a micro scale production farm and focus on direct farm to consumer supply of fresh quality food. We raise Alpine dairy goats, Irish Dexter Cattle, and an array of laying chickens. We seek to be environmentally friendly and to raise our animal with species appropriate husbandry practices as much as is feasible with our land. This means our cattle graze our goats graze and browse and our chickens are truly free ranging. All necessary supplemental feeds are non-GMO. Our animals are loved and not only humanely raised…but pampered.
We sell goat milk shares, goat milk products, eggs, beef quarters or halves and produce in the summer. We sell calves and goat kids when available. We encourage our share-holders and customers to see the farm, meet the animals, and know where their food comes from.
